Benki Meet of only Bachelors...

After a call from Smart Boy Kirru at 16:00 on 28-Mar-2009, my preparation for the Benki meet started... was there between 18:30 / 18:45 and surprisingly I was the first to be at the Benki meet (That made me realize that I have been either missing the Benki meet as they would be coming to “Benki Nilaya” or reaching there very late)

Every time I am late or do not go to Benki our regular Masala Puri person use to ask why I was absent from the group (may be missing the TIP I pay him every time :-)) however this week he was absent and I was very hungry, hence we all went to Kottureshwara Davanagere Benne Dosa and then we split into two group where one group went to Upahara Dharshini and the other group to Srivinasa Cool corner...

Subba and me on our way back from UD to Benki spot bumped into Prasanna’s Aahuu Ahuuu and congratulated her on getting job in Thomson Reuters...

Then it was a routine talk about everything else on the planet and bitching about entire married Benki boys who were missing from the meet; half married Dr. Adiga was kind enough of come with his to be better half to record his presence / attendance. We are moved to Nisarga to have light dinner as some of us already had Dosa.

Everyone dispersed after the dinner and most of the Benki members announced that they would be missing from the meet next week due to various reasons...

Shankara's Birthday

After a prolonged night shift on Friday – stretching into Saturday; 

I woke up at 20:30 after I received several calls from my Banki friends... I first informed them that I would meet them near N. R. Colony – venue then changed to Nandini hotel, had absolutely no intention to travel 20 KM after long and hard day of work, hence asked my friends to come to my house with food parcel instead. 

 Prasanna and Dr. Adiga arrived first followed by Sanna subba and bucket; I had fried rice after which we saw engagement photos of adiga and marriage photos of Nischal, it was time for Prasanna to call it a day when we started watching Jaggesh’s kannada movie “Mata”.... 

 Thing Thing, Thing thing  our mobile made a noise that there was a message of Vijay A Y from Canada that its Bucket’s birthday; we had no clue as I missed checking birthday reminder!! Hence at night 01:00 we decided to go to Coffee Day near Kolar and cut Masala Dosa to celebrate his birth day...

It was a nice drive and it was a long drive after long time for Subba as he missed all these fun when he was in USA; we reached there and ordered for cake, masala dosa and some coffees and frappes; he cut the cake I cut masala dosa on his behalf we stayed there for one hour and back to home by 02:45; 

Can’t believe we traveled 70 KM and celebrated birthday in just under 2 hours  it was fun.... Once we are back, we continued with the movie and one by one all wickets went down snoring!! 

That was end of 21st March 2009 benki meet and Shankara’s birthday.... Sudhi

party on 15th march 09

this was the first weekend after subba got back from US and dr. 'S engagement... So we had party at benki nilaya, t.c.palya...
This was great party which started with vada and bonda while playing caram board and ended with chapathi and curry. Don't think it was boring party as b/w first and last food we had full bottle of JD :-)
One notable point of party was that bucket had his first taste of sprit and he liked it a lot...
